Dana & Jay's Wedding Trailer | Kennewick First Methodist and Bookwalter Winery

We knew Dana & Jay would be a fun couple to film after they suggested we film them rock climbing for their engagement footage! Cold and windy weather didn't deter their adventurous spirits, and we got some fantastic footage using our helicopter — and helmet cameras. Dana & Jay had us all day, which meant we could capture them getting ready in a relaxed atmosphere. The girls sipped Starbucks while dressing in style at Cadwell Laboratories. Jay and his groomsmen got ready at a beautiful house overlooking the Tri-Cities.

The wedding at Kennewick First Methodist went flawlessly. Dana had chosen perfect music for them — including Chariots of Fire during the candle lighting ceremony (wherein Jay showed off his inner pyro).

But the best part of all was the reception. The heartfelt speeches showed just how loved this couple is. And the unreserved, joyous dancing by so many people — young and old — properly reflected Jay & Dana's carefree spirits. And their glow stick exit was perfect for them!

But did we ever get lucky — it snowed! (Those of you from the Tri-Cities know how rare it is.) We got our first ever dancing-in-the-snow footage with some soft overhead light provided by the Bookwalter Winery entrance. It was stunning.

Kathrine & Brad | Wedding Photos & Movie | Stone Ridge, Pasco

It was another hot Tri-Cities wedding, but you wouldn't know it by watching Kathrine & Brad! Volleyball, badminton, and other games were played *on* the wedding day! You have to see the wedding movie to really appreciate how athletic this couple is. (Watch Kathrine throw a football!) Beyond their athleticism, it's clear they have a loving and committed relationship. And better still, their family supports them outwardly.

We see a lot of weddings, so it's fun when couples choose to do something different. Their peacock theme was sure new to us, and we loved it.

We know they'll have many, many years of fun and laughter ahead of them!

Heather & Ryan | Wedding Photos & Movie | Sleeping Lady Resort, Leavenworth

Heather & Ryan couldn't have picked a hotter day! It was over 100° in Leavenworth, so we limited our time outside and headed for shade whenever possible. The guests were even furnished deep-frozen washcloths for their short ceremony! Sleeping Lady Resort in Leavenworth, Washington provided an astounding backdrop for their day. Winds precluded us from using the helicopter on that day, so we went back on Sunday to get some much-desired establishing shots.

Heather & Ryan had an intimate wedding with family and friends, but that doesn't mean they didn't know how to party! They thoroughly enjoyed their day, and so did we!

Erin & John | Wedding Movie | Davenport Hotel

Erin & John chose a beautiful venue, the Davenport Hotel. It fit their personalities well — the seem to fit right in with the elegance. Both are musicians: Erin has a soaring voice and John plays some wicked-awesome piano. It was entertaining to see them provide a song at their own wedding. John even surprised Erin with a group song (from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, no less) — it was hilarious! We found an opportunity to really press our remote helicopter to the limit, flying over the Davenport Hotel to reveal beautiful Spokane, providing a solid establishing shot. What really made the movie, though, was Erin & John's fun attitude and the loving environment provided by their families!

Allisyn & Cody's Wedding Movie | Highland Gardens

What a *fun* bridal party they had! They climbed trees, played volleyball (in suits!), and were super-happy throughout. Allisyn & Cody were relaxed, despite the 100° temperatures! Highland Gardens was a new venue for us; in fact we'd not shot in Deer Park before. The staff there were quite accommodating and pleasant to work with. Allisyn & Cody had an extremely short ceremony. We bet people were thankful since many were in the intense heat.

We found opportunities to use our helicopter for a few shots — check out the short version of their movie below!

Ruth & Chris' Wedding Movie & Photos | Benton City | Christ the King & Terra Blanca Winery

Talk about a fun couple! Ruth & Chris' wedding at Chris the King Catholic Church was sweet, but the real fun was watching them get ready and afterward at Terra Blanca Winery. Chris' letter to Ruth made us want to cry, and it certainly did the trick on Ruth. We got a chance to use our remote-controlled helicopter a few times — check out the movie below to see the footage! We were so happy to have been a part of this wedding. We're thankful to Ruth & Chris, and we wish them the best in their life together!

Rachel & Josué | Benton City Wedding | Terra Blanca

October can start to get cold in the tri-cities, but it wasn't the case for Rachel and Josué's wedding day. Once the girls finished getting their hair and makeup done, they hopped into a huge limo and rode off to Terra Blanca.  Once everyone was there, Rachel and Josh had their first look under the long vine-covered arbor. It was a cute moment as Rachel pretended as if she was going to pounce Josué, and somehow read her mind and did the same!  The ceremony took place in a private cove at the back of the winery.  Rachel entered from above, but without her shoes! Evidently they couldn't be found, but she was perfectly happy to go barefoot. The ceremony was beautiful, even with a brief interruption by a bi-plane (paparazzi?) flying overhead. Terra Blanca has several beautiful backdrops that just look great in their highlight movie. There was a cool corn field we got to walk through, and we thrilled that Rachel and Josué were willing to try fun things. We also got to go inside the cellars and walk around all the wine casks. There were many heartfelt speeches which really showed how much everyone loves and cares for Rachel and Josué. Their cakes had both Cougar and Seahawk logos!

Everyone had fun dancing, visiting with friends, and just enjoying the ambiance. This was such an enjoyable day for us and we just want to say thanks and congratulations to Rachel and Josh.

Chrissy & Robert | Richland Wedding | Memories At Sunset

Chrissy and Robert had their wedding at the Memories at Sunset Event Center in Richland.  Chrissy loves candles and had them everywhere — it really added to the ambiance of the wedding!  Even guests held candles during the ceremony.  Chrissy and Robert chose music from various movies to walk into, even though Chrissy says the movie theme wasn't intentional. :)  During the recessional they played a Storybook Love from the Princess Bride — it fit so well that we included it in their movie. The staff of Memories at Sunset prepared for the reception while the guests enjoyed the sunset on the patio while eating appetizers.  And what a great sunset it was! With the textured clouds scattered throughout, we were able to get some beautiful shots. Speeches ranged from sincere and sentimental to fun and maybe a little (or a lot) embarrassing. :)  Given the conservative crowd, it was great to see everyone get out on the dance floor. Chrissy and Robert had an awesome day and we were glad we could be a part of it. It was one of the most romantic weddings we've seen.

Jeannie & Eli | Richland Wedding | Anthony's

Jeannie & Eli were married at Anthony's Banquet & Event Center last September. The staff there at Anthony's is always great to work with. We love being able to take photos along the river path behind the event center. We played with a new piece of art next door — we had the wedding party on, in it, and around it. The weather wasn't as great as it could have been, but thankfully everything was indoors and able to stay dry until it cleared up during the reception. They had a lot of unique touches; we loved the hairpieces that the girls wore and the colors of the unity sand! But the make-you-cry moment when the bride's daughter walked her down the aisle!

Melissa & Joe | Pasco Wedding | Stone Ridge Event Center

August is a warm time to get married in the Tri-Cities! Melissa and Joe got married on a sunny day at the Stone Ridge Event Center in Pasco. This is an amazing facility hidden away next to the TRAC. It was our first time shooting a wedding there — we loved it. They have a large gazebo with rows of vines behind it. the bridal party stands underneath, ideal for photos of large groups. We were happy to do both photography and cinematography for them. As it gets toward late afternoon and evening, the venue becomes magical — lots of soft lights to provide ambiance. Guests can visit at the tables scattered throughout the lawn or dance under the gazebo. Melissa and Joe had Platinum Entertainment as their DJ, who always does an outstanding job.

A baseball game was wrapping up at the TRAC just about the same time that the wedding ended, so we stuck around and got a few shots of the fireworks going off — what a way to end the night!
