Aerial Photography & Cinematography

firefly BLU serves the Pacific Northwest for a multitude of aerial photography and high-definition cinematography needs. Golf courses, architectural, weddings, commercials, movies...you name it, we can do it! We use a remote-controlled 8-bladed helicopter with extended range. By not requiring a manned helicopter (and batteries instead of aviation fuel!), we can greatly reduce your costs! Know someone with aerial photography or video needs? Contact us today!

Melissa & Kevin Wedding Photos | Stone Ridge Event Center

June in the Tri-Cities is supposed to be sunny, right? Rain threatened every moment of the ceremony! But a little drizzle didn't dampen Melissa & Kevin's spirits. Both the bride and groom appeared to enjoy every moment of their day. Better yet, their kids served as flower girl and ring bearer....both were ridiculously adorable and handled the commotion of a wedding day with aplomb. Despite the occasional rain (and the subsequent scrambles indoors at Stone Ridge Event Center), the day was thoroughly enjoyable. We're sure that Melissa & Kevin will continue as great parents and perfect partners for each other.

Ruth & Chris' Wedding Movie & Photos | Benton City | Christ the King & Terra Blanca Winery

Talk about a fun couple! Ruth & Chris' wedding at Chris the King Catholic Church was sweet, but the real fun was watching them get ready and afterward at Terra Blanca Winery. Chris' letter to Ruth made us want to cry, and it certainly did the trick on Ruth. We got a chance to use our remote-controlled helicopter a few times — check out the movie below to see the footage! We were so happy to have been a part of this wedding. We're thankful to Ruth & Chris, and we wish them the best in their life together!

Erika & Nate’s Wedding | Benton City | Terra Blanca

What a day! Erika & Nathan play well together — such a whimsical couple. Terra Blanca winery in Benton City made for a stunning backdrop for both their photos and their ceremony. Their first look was under Terra Blanca's beautiful entryway arches. Erika had some of the most expressive faces, and Nate kept things loose for the photos, allowing us to capture some great looks between the two of them. Very photogenic couple!

The short-and-sweet ceremony took place in a tucked-away rocked-in area. Especially touching was the pillow carried in by the handsome ring bearer: it was made in memory of the bride's father out of his shirt and tie. The cake was covered in a multitude of white frosting roses — it seemed to be patterned to match Erika's dress! What a perfect spring day for this couple to tie the knot. We wish them a lifetime of happiness.

Kaycie & Sergio's Engagement | Benton City | Secret Vineyard

We had a relaxed shoot with Kaycie and Sergio at our secret vineyard — they were so photogenic! They brought along a chalk board to for various ideas (like save-the-date cards). Worked out well! We love it when people bring their own props. We're excited to be shooting their wedding this September at the Moore Mansion.

Kruz | Newborn Photos

A few weeks ago we were privileged to take newborn photos for one of our previous wedding couples. One of the things we love most is when we get to catch up and stay involved in our clients' lives after the wedding. This "little" guy is almost a month old and already getting big and strong. He had such a cute personality, we could tell he didn't appreciate us interrupting his nap-time, but by the end he was alert and curious about the new people who came to visit him. We also got some adorable shots of Kruz with his mom and his helpful big brother.

Lizeth & Ricardo | Richland Engagement | Howard Amon Park

It may not look like it, but this was a very cold day in November! We'd just some snow the day before, so parts of tri-cities still had snow on the ground. But there was still plenty of  fall color — this was perfect since it allowed for several different looks to their engagement photos.  Since it was so cold, we picked up some hot chocolate for Lizeth and Ricardo to help keep them warm.  We started at Howard Amon park where it still had awesome fall colors and leaves on the ground. Lizeth and Ricardo were great sports as they posed for photos while freezing! We then visited the WSU campus in Richland since it had the most snow.  Finally, we made use of the Christmas lights at the Parkway in Richland since it was dusk. It was definitely a fun photo shoot and we are glad the Lizeth and Ricardo are such a fun couple to work with.

Kayla & Tony | Kennewick Wedding | Word Of Faith & Shilo Inn

This adorable couple got married on a memorable day — 11/11/11. (They'll have no trouble remembering their anniversary in the future!) Kayla and all the girls began getting ready at the new house she and Tony were moving into (the day before!), then moved on to Word of Faith Center. It was a whirlwind of action with all of the moms, bridesmaids, sisters, and flower-girls scrambling about getting ready. Kayla was such a beautiful bride! One of our favorite parts about winter weddings is when they wear gorgeous fur wraps. It is always encouraging to see such a show of support — they had one of the biggest bridal parties we've seen — seven on each side! They chose not too see each other before the ceremony, so the first time he saw her was as she walked down the aisle. It was a very sweet ceremony, complete with a slideshow of the couple playing while they took communion. They had some adorable little flower girls and ring bearer, who almost made it all the way up without help. :) After the ceremony, we got to take them around for portraits at the church and along the river behind the Shilo Inn in Richland. Both had some great opportunities for us and some beautiful fall colors still clinging to the trees. Unfortunately we got cut a bit short by rain but it held out long enough to get most of the family. At the Shilo Inn they had a big reception — it was a great day for a lot of family and friends on both sides to come together, dance, and have fun. Like a lot of couples this year, they had cupcakes for the guests. But their cupcakes were assembled as bouquets and put together so well that it took us awhile to realize that they were fact dessert, not flowers! It was a beautiful and memorable day and we wish Kayla and Tony the best!

Ruth & Chris | Benton City Engagement | Vineyards

We took Ruth and Chris to a secret winery in Benton City.  It was a really cold day, so we were glad that everyone dressed warm!  The vineyard offered some great looks for autumn.  Taking photos amid the elaborate wineries and the vineyards definitely shows off the best of the tri-cities.  We had great time and they looked looked great together.  We very excited to being doing their wedding next summer at Terra Blanca!

Megan & Tracy | Kennewick Wedding | Lions Gate Wedding Chapel

We shot Megan and Tracy's engagement photos a couple years ago, so it was great to capture their wedding again even after so long. They got married on an absolutely beautiful October day — the weather couldn't have been more perfect. Their ceremony and reception were at LionsGate Wedding Chapel in Kennewick. This was the first time we had a wedding there; it is a charming little chapel with a unique vintage feel, complete with a suit of armor in the corner! For portraits, they rented one of the vintage limos from Four Star Limos, and we had a lot of fun with it. Megan chose a unique theme for her wedding and did an amazing job incorporating all of the details. The theme was locks and keys, she had antique keys everywhere in the decorations, on the tables and hanging from the centerpieces. The couple was married by Stacy from Uniquely I Do, who did an great job keeping it simple while personalizing it for them. During the ceremony, they inserted letters written to each other into a locked box, to be opened and read on their first anniversary. Her invitations were old books, hollowed out and filled with information about the wedding. And instead of a signing book, they had quilt pieces for the guests to sign, making for a beautiful and useful keepsake.

The chapel and reception hall were both beautiful — the reception hall was lit up with countless lights. While the bouquet usually goes to a single girl, they gave it to a married woman (based on who had been married the longest) — pretty sweet idea. Everyone had a wonderful time and when the night finally wore down we were more than a little jealous as they headed off to Hawaii. They are such a cute, fun couple with loads of personality. We had a great time shooting their wedding!
